The legislation library holds Acts of Parliament and statutory instruments relevant to Zambian practice and study. It is designed so that the enacted text and any explanation of it never blur into each other.
How legislation is presented
Each entry names the Act or instrument, its subject matter and the stored text, with the official PDF available for viewing and download where the source publishes one. Explanatory material — our own guides, or an AI orientation to an area — is presented separately and clearly marked, because a paraphrase of a section is never the section.

Checking that a provision is current
Legislation is amended and repealed. Before relying on a provision, check the National Assembly of Zambia for amending Acts and for the current status of the principal Act. LEX ZED points you to that source rather than asking you to take a stored copy on trust.
